A weekly arts market… it’s about time!
It’s about time Wellington had its own weekly, high
quality arts market… it’s about time artists and designers had a
vibrant, creative place to sell their wares… it’s about time the
Creative Capital had a tangible, interactive, creative weekly
experience for everyone to enjoy… AND that time has come.
At 9:30am on Saturday the 12th of December Wellington Mayor Kerry
Prendergast will cut a ribbon and officially announce Frank Kitts
Market open! BUT there is still time for Wellington’s emerging artists
and designers to grab one of the 120 stalls on offer.
Today, Wednesday 28th October, the “show us your art” campaign will be
launched in search of Wellington’s finest stallholders. To mark
the campaign, eight roller derby girls will hit the streets canvasing
Lambton Quay, Manners Mall and Cuba Street, before returning to Frank
Kitts
Park at about 1pm.
So if you make, bake, design, sew, knit, felt, crochet, saw, glue,
hammer, solder, paint, decorate, sing, play or entertain AND your goods
or services are of high quality and well presented, then you can
register your interest in having a stall here. Too easy.
